Construction is taking longer than expected.īristol Township’s two new elementary schools will not be ready for the first day of school, but they will open after winter break. The Central Bucks, New Hope-Solebury, Council Rock and Centennial school districts all delayed opening by two hours. In Upper Bucks County, where the Palisades, Quakertown Community and Pennridge school districts opted to close school, road conditions were still icy Tuesday morning, according to school district officials. Most school districts in Bucks County and Eastern Montgomery County opened two hours late Tuesday due to a mix of snow, sleet and rain that fell across the region Monday night and Tuesday morning. ![]()
